I totally agree with few of those members of SMC. I think the problem everyone is facing right now is that TV commercial gives everyone so much hope and when you get the membership...you think money will come to you automatically...wrong!!!

"there's no such thing as free lunch". I have done websites for several pepople and guess what they are doing just fine...

you need to go out there and get your business...

1. DO NOT Buy a website from SMC...coz a full catalog website can be done for much cheaper price...if you know how to make it even better, SMC charges nearly $3k..crap

2. DO NOT Buy lot's of catalog at once as it my not work for everyone. Yes, you do need some catalog to show people what type of products you offer, world of products catalog is better as it contains almost all products from smc.

3. DO NOT Spend lots of money for online advertisements (e.g. ebay..yahoo...google, etc)

These are some of the things you will be asked by the coaches to purchase from SMC, again I say "DO NOT" Buy them...do not listen to those coaches. Coaches are sales people who's primary intention is to sell you stuff. They give you high hopes and make you purchase websites, catalogs, gift cards, etc.

"GIFT CARDS FROM SMC IS JUST A PIECE OF S***T" Do not buy them...you don't need them.

My clients are using gift voucher that they can create of their own and works out fine.

Just get your membersip and then use your marketing skills to develop your business.

you can email me at or visit my site at www.ihostdaddy.com. I web design including SMC types of site...let me know if you have any question.

We were talked into going into bussiness with SMC . It was supposed to be a GIFT CARD WEBSITE.

Well we paid SMC $925.00 To start the business and we would get $500.00 in GIFT CARDS TO GIVE TO PEOPLE TO START A GOOD BUSSINESS . and then we received a call about the website and to upgrade the website would be $256.00 more and we would get $250 dollars in GIFTS CARDS TO GET GOING EVEN BETTER. , So we did that . They have closed down the website and the gift card central and we can't do anything now .. What mess ....

Then low and behold SMC decides to take out of our checking account $39.95 and $375.00 saying that we told them that they could do so. They tell me they have a recorded conversation . But I have yet to hear this recording.

But today I receive a letter in the mail saying that we owe them almost $1400.00 PLUS Nealy $500.00 in renewing a membership fee that we just started in March.

SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE.

I am starting my 3rd year with SMC and I am shocked to see these complaints! I will admit that I haven't sold much with them but the reason is I haven't really tried very hard. However I haven't ever had a problem with them either, they have NEVER done me wrong or cheated me in any way. I have placed some orders with them (enough to get an idea of what they are like) and I have found them to be honest and polite to with me. If these people aren't making any money then they need to be asking some simple questions...... First , am I giving it 100% effort? Second, am I doing it right? Third, has any other company worked out for me? If not than maybe the problem is you.....not the company. Yes I realize that is alot of SMC online but have you considered selling it at flea markets, or selling it at partys? Bottom line don't give on something because somebody you don't know said it was bad, but them again don't do something just because somebody you don't know said to. The truth is if you quit easily without a fight or if you don't have any confidence in yourself then this probably isn't for you.......I know it works and I'm not quiting this is for me!

I have been with SMC for just over one month. I have already made money, so I am very happy with this company. If you ever need any help, you can call on your coach and he/she will guide you.

Yes, their websites are on the pricey side, but you can build one for less than $5 a month. I'm doing this now.

There's more than just Ebay to put up your products, try using Craig's List. and you need to do A LOT of research. Sure, your going to see a lot of these products out there. (this should be a good sign.

Considering all the bashing of SMC, there sure are alot of their products on the web.)

I see most people putting up the less expensive items, when SMC has quite a few more expensive items. Don't limit yourself to just the less expensive.

I have personally used SMC for 5 years and have sold over 1,500,000 dollars in merchandise. But I also did take markeing in college. You just have to know what you are doing, this program is not for the average joe. Take a sales class r something and you will do fine with SMC!!!

I'm saddened to see so much negativity towards SMC. I joined back in 2000. I have made some money, but only when I actually did something. I'm not very good at sales, but the sales always seem to come just by handing out the catalogs. I love the products. I figured if I don't become a millionaire selling the products, I still get 100 times my money back every year by buying the products for myself and gifts. Especially at Christmas time. By getting the products for a very, VERY low price, I'm a winner all the time. I have been doing most of my Christmas, birthday and general gift buying with SMC ever since I was a member and I saved a fortune. And my recipients were always very happy with their gifts. So, whether I sell and make alot of extra money (which I have done around the holidays) or just save money on my own gift buying, I am a very satified member of SMC and intend to stay so for a very, very long time. This is not a get rich quick gimic. And yes, the website they offer is outrageous when there are so many other options that are ALOT cheaper if you make your own website. I'm just getting back into the selling end and have found a website for about $15 per month and have a free paypal account, so for an overhead of less than $20 a month, I'm bound to break even with just one sale. The cool think is my site has been up and running for about 2 weeks and I've already had about 70 hits and I haven't started advertising yet. Sales is a numbers game. If you apply yourself, you will make money. It's that simple. You can't sit on your butt and do nothing and then call the company a scam because you don't own a yacht and a summer home. But if you apply yourself, even minimaly, you will make money. And when you do the first time, you will see how easy it is and do more. And then you will realize the value of being an SMC member. I wish anyone reading this the best of luck on the SMC adventure. Your dreams are yours for the taking. Go get 'em!!!

:zzz

I have made $25,000 in the last 9 months with SMC. That's only about 2 hours a day...partime people!! These complaints I've read here seemed that the people need to put there all in it. Not just compalin on some minoote confused situation. I just quit my "FACTORY" job today. SMC is a great oppporunity to be all that you've dreamed of. I know none of you can't trust a person you have never met, but please know that I am very happy to sort-of stumble apon SMC. ***, just imagineonly getting an extra $100 on your weekly paycheck at your current job. Well this is much more REWARDING than that! SMC! Give it a whirl. You WILL be glad that you did...TRUST ME!!

My 8yr old son are going on a cruise to the Bahamas. His mother, my wife died last year, which where she always wanted to go. I have never been on a cruise, nor he. Thank-you SMC!! People, just put your mind to it. Once that is accomplished, your ready! One more thing, selling on the internet is the most absolute way to go. Good luck! It's a lot of fun when you check your "BALANCE" in your checking account!!!!!!!!!!! :) P.S. I am not an employer at SMC, just a money making son-of-gun! Sincerely Rodney W.

I can't believe that there are so many people having issues with SMC. I joined two years ago this October and I have had nothing but positivity, support and good profit from the business. I feel that if people fail to execute the plan properly that they'll blame anyone but themselves for the eventual result. By the way, for those no quite in-tune to the facts, SMC is NOT a multi-level marketing company or a pyramid scam. It doesn't work that way at all. It's a wholesaler, nothing more. The profit is in the mark-up. They even ship for free! I've made more money in the last year than I have made in three years at my regular job (which I just quit!). Don't know a good business because of a bad hair day. Give it a chance! It's working for me! :?

If a company don't ask for a tin# or a sales tax # then they r not selling you at wholesale cost. If a company don't ask for the #'s they r a scam.
