After a total of about 3 hours on the phone trying to get ahold of a real person to get information regarding this return and being unsuccessful, I followed the recorded directions on sending back the materials.
I sent back all of the materials, insured, and with a tracking number to the address they told me to send it to. I did all of this within the 30 days that they allowed.
For the next four months I continued to be billed for my membership and received a letter saying that my tracking number was not valid (which of course put me now beyond the 30 days allowed). I called USPS myslef and confirmed the tracking number and was told the date and the name of the person that received my insured package at SMC in California so my tarcking number was valid and they were playing games.
I took this information to my bank and they reversed all of the charges and I changed my bank account card number to prevent any further automatic withdrawals from this company.
Now they have sent me to collections and I am unable to get ahold of anyone to help resolve this matter, so I too will be going to the state's Attorney General, BBB and anybody else that will listen.
If anybody has a valid address for SMC will you please email me at

| 1. Written by Say it isnt so, on 04-08-2009 14:49 So I just got my kit in the mail yesterday, talked with my coach today and after hearing all this im sending it back tomorrow. I checked on ebay, and like a dumb *** i thought it would be a good way to sell this stuff. WRONG!!!! Every item I saw in the catalogs was already being sold by at least 20 diffrent people. Even worse than that they were all trying to sell for less than the retail price was. Even worse than that some were selling for less than one dollar profitt. Finally even worse than that i saw a couple for less than what the wholesale price was, this means that they actually loose money. selling something for $20.00 when you have to pay $25.00 is just rediculous. I want to give it a chance but im sure if I do try ill just find myself caught in the scam and a contract that will only make my credit even more depressing, the same feeling that made me call SMC in the first place. (Lesson learned, always research before investing into something like this) |

| 4. Written by Thankful in California, on 20-05-2008 18:49 I'm so sorry to hear about your mis-fortune. I too have been contacted by SMC to start selling their products. The sales rep I spoke to told me all the same things they told you. I told him that I would not make any decision about this opportunity without speaking with my husband. The guy was really pushing hard, so I hung up on him. Anyway, they sent me paperwork anyway. Here is the address on the paperwork. SMC 996 Flower Glen Street Simi Valley, CA 93065 Also, when you file your complaint with the Better Business Bureau, they should have a valid address for them. Good luck to you all. I'm glad I did some checking before jumping in. Tammy Ventura, CA |
